i just have this sudden impulse to write about my ooty trip.
before everything just turns into memories and slowly into a small little chapter in my life.day 1 16/12/07
airport. farewells. minister's arrival. photo takings and MORE phototakings.it was at a very high morale i must say and loads of anxiety on the parents' part.
a mum actually told me to look after his son for her through the trip! (i used to be the youngest 1 year ago!)s i l k a i r's food was the start of our indian cuisine. mutton briyani. i can still rem it so vividly. mutton on one side, rice smacked in the centre and archar at the other corner.
reached coimbatore (the nearest airport to ooty) at abt 3am sg time so it was about 12.30am over there. travelled to ooty on this bus with very narrow aisles and little space for seating area. but thank god, i joined the BSB (backseat boys) and we got to enjoy the last row with only 3 of us. :D
the stars surrounded the entire sky painting it into a picture of wonderful surprise.
readed symrna home in the wee hours of the morning. unloaded the stuff in the frigging coldness and 2 layers of jacket which was still insufficient for me.was allocated a room and fell asleep.
the first morning at symrna home was beyond words.
what you see from the doors were rows and rows of tea plantations.cattles. small little houses and clouds after clouds.
you feel as if you were this <-> close to heaven.took a slow walk around the home before breakfast was served (thosai)
small gathering to welcome us to ooty with carnation flower :D
orientation by the headmaster. picking of flowers which feel like paper. taking picturesand filling up numerous and numerous of forms.
(the i n d i a immigration is uber strict!)maranatha home is a complete contrast to symrna home. it's small. dark. crowded yet strangely cosy.
have a talk with pastor george and the following was madness and chaos.
the boys turned into small little energy balls which made us pant and shout like mad.
camwhoring. cheering. singing. dancing. jumping and all the other rahrahing!
that was the start of all chaos. i bet the boys had fun. i bet the boys in my team had fun too.
dinner at the market area. THERE WAS FINALLY MEAT!!
chicken. mutton. fish! :D plainly satisfying (as of then until you see the menu repeats itself)
debrief-ed. ((:
;
i've gotta go! it's training time! )):
