this chinese new year, is unusually quiet at my place. fewer relatives but it was pretty nice!
like always, playing with little cousins are like yearly routine.
but seeing them growing. able to talk, to walk, to play games and talk non-stop is really very interesting.

dan's hse is still so filled with food and nice nice parents.

zoo was super crowded on the 2nd day of new yr. the queue went all the way to the zebra crossing at night safari. DAMN CROWDED CAN!
and yeah, admist the chinese new yr season and streaming crowds, ah m e n g died after her morning walk.

it wasn't that impactful to me initially cos i wasn't in the park but when i went in and talk to the keepers and seeing how charlie (her husband) moaned when they removed her statue. then it became really saddening.

s a m y, the respectable curator looked so forlorn and depressed.
satiya didnt come out for token feedings. the other o r ang utans looking lost and inactive.
at this point of time, i learnt something new, that animals like humans, respond ALOT to loss.
and how are they going to get over it?

but she was immortalised. human-liked burial service. statue. and a nice staying ground.
and her life was so much celebrated. better than mine.
